Joystick for Arma Reforger. (Note* “Joystick” not HOTAS and AT Pedals)

*Cyclic/Rudder only

*Probably won’t work if you have a Gamepad connected.

Using Steams Controller settings to use your Joystick as if it were a Gamepad.

Go to Steam> Settings > Controller

It should be able to see your Joystick.

Click on Begin setup.

Follow the setup program to map the Controls as best you can, Depends on the

features of your Joystick, But your mainly needing to emulate the Left Joystick (Cyclic)

and the 2 Front Triggers (Rudder) the only option that I have found for Collective

is buttons only A and X. Hopefully find a way to remap the in game controls at the a later date.

This can take some trial error as there is no option to go back when setting up the controls

And you can skip setting up some controls like the Right Joystick eta by pressing the “A” button.

Ok Once its mapped, enable this option.

Now we need to set Dead Zones and Curves, for this we need to right-click on the Arma Reforger Game

and go to Manage > Controller Layout

Here Click on Edit LA

Then the Setting option on the Left Joystick.

Change the Stick Response Curve to Wide (You can try personal settings here.)

Then the Dead Zone to Custom and a setting of around 10 seems to work (trial and error for your Joystick)

Then leave everything else as default and launch the game. Test Your Mappings and happy flying.
